Devona
Hygienist
Devona was raised and lives in Mesquite, TX. She graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1983 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. Her 35 year (and counting!) career includes 10 years in a hospital setting at the Dallas VA Medical Center. She started working with Dr. Sloan in August of 1998. She has been married to her husband Jody since 1980 and has a grown daughter and son. She enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and reading. Her goal for every patient is that they have the most comfortable experience possible.
Faith
Hygienist
Faith grew up in Sulphur Springs, TX and graduated from Texas Women’s University with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She has been a hygienist for 10 years and she has been voted Kaufman’s Favorite Dental Hygienist for the last two years! Faith is married and has three beautiful daughters. As a family, they are active in their church, C-Life, and they enjoy being outdoors and spending time together. Being a mom and a wife are her greatest treasures! Faith has a passion for educating and building relationships with her patients.
Daina
Hygienist
Daina was born in Omaha, NE, but was raised in Mabank, TX. She graduated from Concorde Career College in Dallas, TX and has been practicing as a dental hygienist since 2014. Daina enjoys spending time with family, watching movies and being outdoors!

Shawn
Registered Dental Assistant
Shawn was born in Oklahoma but quickly moved to Texas! She grew up in Richardon and Rowlett, and moved to the big town of Kaufman in 1993. Shawn has been in the dental field for 32 years and she has been with Kaufman Family Dentistry since 1998. Shawn’s favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and their families. Her daily goal is to help each patient feel as comfortable as possible during their appointments; whether that be holding their hand, a comforting tap on the shoulder, or just talking to them. Shawn has been voted Kaufman’s Favorite Dental Assistant year after year! When she’s not with patients, Shawn enjoys spending time with her husband Randall and their two children, Hanson and Harlee. They love to travel in their motor home to rodeos and to go camping.
Alicia
Registered Dental Assistant
Alicia has been a dental assistant for 16 years and has been with Kaufman Family Dentistry since 2006. She loves coming to work because she gets to know so many patients and help make their experience with us a comfortable one. Outside of the office, Alicia enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children.
Lanea
Registered Dental Assistant
Lanea was born and raised in Oregon. She is married to Kraig and together they have two boys: Kadyn and Konner. They have lived in Hawaii, Alaska, Maine, Florida, and now that Kraig has retired from the military, they have settled in Texas. She started in the dental field before having children and knew it was something she was passionate about. After staying home to raise her boys for 10 years, she decided it was time to jump back in! She has been serving patients for 7 years as a dental assistant. Lanea’s hobbies include gardening, canning, raising chickens, hunting and travelling. She feels blessed to work at Kaufman Family Dentistry. It is exactly what she’s been hoping for, a family-like office that works together to serve their patients.
Ericka
Office Manager
Ericka’s is the first face you’ll see when you step foot in our office! Ericka is a longtime resident of Kaufman, and she has been with our office sine 2002. She and her husband Albert have one son, who is currently studying at Texas A&M! Gig’em! Ericka loves getting to know each patient and their families as they become established at our practice. Outside of work, Ericka loves spending time with her family and friends.
Ana
Scheduling Coordinator
Ana joined our team in April of 2019. She was born in Mexico, grew up in Dallas and moved to Kaufman in 2006. She has loved being in the dental field for the last 7 years! She loves getting to know our patients and feels thankful to work with an amazing group of women each day! Ana has two boys, Ivan Jr. and Kaleb, and a sweet baby girl, Camila! When she’s not at work, Ana enjoys spending time with her family and friends!
Shelly
Treatment and Financial Coordinator
Shelly has worked in the dental field for over 25 years! Her expertise includes clinical assisting, and treatment coording. She grew up in Crandall and still lives there with her two children, Jax and Blakely! Shelly loves interacting with patients, getting to know each one of them and seeing the positive impact dentistry brings to each one. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching Jax play basketball and football, and watching Blakely play volleyball. She cherishes her time with family and friends.
