First Visit
Welcome to our family! Here at KFD, our doctors and team work hard to help patients feel comfortable, respected, and right at home during their appointments.
Your first appointment generally lasts 60-90 minutes. During this time, we will gather information using the latest dental technology, and then fabricate a custom treatment plan for you.
Here are the details about what you can expect:
- You will be able to complete all of the necessary paperwork online instead of having to wait until you arrive at your dental office.
- You’ll receive a warm greeting from our front desk team when you arrive for your scheduled appointment.
- Our friendly dental assistants will take a full series of digital x-rays to reveal any dental concerns that may be hiding underneath the surface of your smile.
- We will take a set of oral photos with an intraoral camera so we can show you views of your teeth you’ve never seen before.
- We’ll perform an iTero Wellness scan.
- Our hygienists will perform a thorough periodontal screening.
- We will discuss your dental history, your personal health goals, and your homecare and dietary habits.
- The doctors will sit down with you to discuss their findings and provide their recommendations. We pride ourselves on offering a ‘no-pressure’ experience. We simply want to educate you so that YOU can make the best choices for your health when it is right for you!
